General Advice for New Players
- Don't Rush Your Castle: While upgrading your castle is important, it's crucial to balance it with other upgrades. Having a high-level castle but weak heroes and low research can leave you vulnerable.
- Join Discord and Facebook Groups: The community is a huge resource. You'll find many players willing to share tips, data, and strategies for success. These groups are also a great way to stay up-to-date with new content and events.
- Use Speed-ups Wisely: Never use a speed-up item for anything less than an hour. The smaller speed-ups are more valuable in mass for events.
- Save Your Relic Scrolls: Relic scrolls are a valuable currency. Do not use them as soon as you get them. Instead, save them for the relic events to maximize your chances of getting a powerful relic.
- Keep Your Troops Protected: If you are not actively online, shield your city. Leaving your troops and resources vulnerable is a surefire way to lose a lot of progress.
- Complete Daily and Weekly Missions: These missions provide a steady stream of resources, experience, and other valuable items. Make sure to complete them daily to maintain your progress.
- Don't Overlook Your Epic Heroes: Many players ignore Epic heroes after getting a few Legendaries. However, a fully awakened Epic hero can be stronger than a non-awakened Legendary, so don't discard them! Also see the section on unlocking epic hero traits.
- Join an Active Guild: This is arguably the most important tip. A good guild provides support, resources, and protection from enemy raids. Actively participate in rallies and guild events to maximize your benefits.
- Focus on Research: The Research Cottage is a key building. Prioritize research that increases resource yield (especially rubies and timber) and troop strength.
