Villager Management Guide

Optimizing your villagers is key to a thriving city. This guide breaks down which villager traits to prioritize, which to avoid, and how to strategically manage them for maximum efficiency.

Top Villager Traits: Always Keep These!

  • Resource Buildings: More resources from farms, mines, etc.
  • Castle: More resources & faster building.
  • Research Cottage: Faster research.
  • Guild Hall: Better help for allies.
  • Barracks: Quicker troop training.
  • Faction Statues: Bigger march size.
  • Troop Skin Center: Faster soldier training.
  • Medal Hall: Higher soldier HP.
  • Hero Statue: Stronger hero attack & HP.
  • Watchtower: Faster PvP marching speed.
  • Tavern: Chance to get extra villagers.
  • Blacksmith: Faster gear forging.

Advanced Strategies

Top Priorities: Survival and Power

  • Queue Status: Focus on Damage Reduction over Damage Increase. Staying alive is more important, especially in Adventure mode.
  • Training Grounds: Keep one of each faction and two for your main faction. These are crucial for boosting your soldier cap but require consistent investment to be worthwhile.

Get More Resources, Faster

  • Boost Production: Only use villagers with production boosts for farms, mines, etc. Ignore "Storage Time" villagers as they're useless if you log in often.
  • Combine Villagers Smartly: Only merge villagers if you have a plan. Sacrifice useless villagers for traits you need. Random merging can mess up your future setups.

Strategic Swapping

Be flexible! You don't need every villager active all the time. Swap them based on your current needs.

  • War Time: Use "Castle: Building HP" during war days, then switch back to production or construction buffs afterward.
  • Hospital Sets: Keep two sets of gear. One for capacity when you expect heavy losses, and one for healing speed to recover troops faster.
  • Gray Villagers: Don't upgrade a gray villager until you have multiple copies of the same useful trait. Two 0.6% grays (1.2%) is better than one 1% green.
